Below is information on the Proposed Ponte Vista Development:

Update 4/1/11: The property owner, I-Star, announced plans to construct 1,135 units consisting of 143 single-family, 600 condominiums, and 392 apartments. Currently they are in the process of conducting the environmental review required by the City of Los Angeles. Recently their traffic consultant met with our Planning and Land Use Committee to discuss the methodology they are using in the traffic study. On the positive side, it appears that they are using more reasonable traffic generation formulas. Nevertheless, there is more work to be done to provide a satisfactory analysis. The NWSPNC Planning and Land Use committee made it clear that we expect them to go beyond the city requirements to realistically project “believable” impacts. Of particular concern to the committee is that the developer find a way to factor in the increased traffic anticipated as the economy recovers. The owner’s representatives have committed to continued dialogue with the Planning and Land Use Committee. We encourage you to attend these meetings and give your input. We have posted a number of documents we received from them below. The Council plans to review and comment on the traffic study and the Draft EIR when the documents become available.
