April 9, 2009, Thursday-PONTE VISTA HEARING UPDATE
 
The plans for the development of Ponte Vista will be considered by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission on Thursday, April 9 at 8:30 am.  The meeting will be held in the Los Angeles City Hall, 200 N. Spring Street.  It will take place in the Council Chambers on the third floor.   Councilwoman Hahn's office will arrange for free parking for individuals who call her office by Tue April 7.  You will need to provide the make, model, year and lisence plate number of your car.
 
If you are driving, The parking lot is actually under City Hall East and is entered from Los Angeles Street.  You will need to stop at the kiosk at the top of the driveway and give your information to enter the parking lot and obtain a permit for the day..

The Planning Department recommendation relative to Ponte Vista
was tentatively scheduled to be heard by the Planning Commission on December 11, 2008 at Los Angeles City Hall in the daytime but has been postponed. The new date is Feb 12, 2008.

Ponte Vista Development (Former Navy Housing Site)
Bisno Development originally proposed to build 2,300 housing units at the former Navy facility on Western Avenue. The NWSPNC submitted extensive comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report. Cover Letter and Comments. The developer has now submitted a new proposal for 1,950 units.
