SFI Bridgeview, LLC, a subsidiary of iStar Financial Inc., a leading publicly traded finance company focused on the real estate industry, announced today that it has taken ownership of Ponte Vista, a 62-acre residential property located on Western Avenue in the community of San Pedro, in a negotiated transfer of the property. May 5, 2009, the Los Angeles City Planning Commission rejected the Ponte Vista application for a zone change and recommended that the applicant and Planning Staff work together to develop a new Specific Plan that
incorporates elements of the applicant's revised concept and staff's recommendations; and use best efforts to
prepare a new Specific Plan and appropriate environmental analysis, building on existing EIR, with revised

Ponte Vista Development (Former Navy Housing Site)
Bisno Development originally proposed to build 2,300 housing units at the former Navy facility on Western Avenue. The NWSPNC submitted extensive comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report. Cover Letter and Comments. The developer has now submitted a new proposal for 1,950 units.
