...so glad to be back in San Pedro...it's still a 'whale of a town' with a heart and soul to match! The seas of life can be rough yet this place swims deep.
I was born in Germany, moved S.P. and attended South Shores Elem., Dana Jr. High and S.P. High and then went on to U.S.C....BA in Communications '82, MA in German Literature '85 and BArchitecture in '89.
Moved to N.Y.C. in '89, worked for the wonderful arch. firm of Pei Cobb Freed and Partners until 1996. Went into private practice in '92 - projects included high-end residential, in N.Y. and abroad, hospitality, commercial turn-key, restaurants, catering halls, fine art galleries and most recently a museum. Currently, designed a tuscan-style home for clients in R.P.V. that is in construction.
Partner in an art gallery in N.Y.C., since 1996, offering modern art, contemporary art & Biedermeier furniture. Have been importing art and antiques from Europe since 1994 and now have opened a gallery called "DeKor" here on 6th Street downtown.
I believe in being active in one's community and giving back to the people and places that nuture you - we are all connected and what we do effects everything around us. I am grateful to be able to be involved with and surrounded by so many fine people on this very special & beautiful penninsula.
We are in a recession, but this too will pass. I am very happy to be a part of both the CAC Board and the NWC Board working, in community, to solve current problems and plan for the betterment of San Pedro...
