  • Rec & Parks Dept Accepting Applications for Peck Park Advisory Board

    The Recreation and Parks Department is accepting applications for community volunteers to serve as members of the RECREATION CENTER Park Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will be responsible for assisting and working with the Department in regards to center events, fundraising and day to day programs and activities. The Park Advisory Board usually holds quarterly meetings. Members may also meet throughout the month on committee work and/or special projects. Members will be appointed for a 2 year term.   • Free Mortgage Relief!

    Last week the state launched the California Mortgage Relief Program to provide one-time payments to qualified homeowners who have fallen behind on their housing payments or reverse mortgage arrearages. Using $1 billion in federal funds, the program will help homeowners who had a financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic by covering missed housing payments. California Mortgage Relief Program Key Points: Homeowners who missed at least two home payments before Dec. 27, 2021, may be eligible for funds to get caught up. There is a maximum benefit of $80,000 available to each qualifying household. Assistance provided through this program is not a loan and does NOT need to be paid back. The California Mortgage Relief Program is separate from the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program (which is still open to renters and landlords). Rent Relief Assistance. If you have any questions about the Mortgage Relief Program, assistance is available through the homeowner's mortgage servicer or by calling a HUD-certified housing counselor at 1-800-569-4287. You may also email info@camortgagerelief.org and they will respond within 24-48 hours. Even if the foreclosure process has started, it can often take several months before your home is foreclosed.
