Are you interested in working with city officials to protect & progress the best interests of the community of San Pedro? If yes, the Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council would like to meet you!
Eligible candidates must be at least 14 years and no more than 17 years of age on the day of the selection.
Eligible candidates must live, attend school, or work in Northwest San Pedro.

The youth board member will be required to complete an online Ethics Training & Code of Conduct Training.
You will also be required to attend 2 monthly in-person meetings:
1. Board Meeting on the second Monday of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:45 pm, and
2. Youth & Outreach Committee on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 pm
OR join another committee of your choice.
You may also join other committees of interest to you and should attend Neighborhood Council events.
The term of your commitment is one year, at which time you can apply for a second-year term if you are still eligible.
Applications must be received by September 15, 2026.
In-Person interviews will be held at the Youth & Outreach Meeting at 5:30pm at 638 S. Beacon Street, Room 452, San Pedro on Monday, September 26, 2026.
The selected candidate will be seated at the November Board meeting.
Qualified candidates will be required to provide proof of age and stakeholder status.
