2021 COVID-19 City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program (ERAP)

The Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) invites you to attend our free 2021 webinars. For the month of September we will focus on the “2021 COVID-19 City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program (ERAP).” The webinars will provide an update on the current program as well as the City’s new partnership with the State of California to provide more rental assistance to ensure that every renter and landlord affected by the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for financial assistance.  MORE INFO AND DATES

California COVID-19 Rent Relief Program:
 

The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program provides financial assistance for rent and utilities to income-eligible California renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19.

Both renters and landlords can apply for assistance.  Depending on the address of your rental property, you may be eligible for a local program. Apply Now to determine which program is right for you.

Homeowners/Landlords: The L.A. County Disaster Help Center is providing expanded foreclosure protection assistance for homeowners or landlords with 15 or fewer units. If you are a property owner facing financial difficulty, contact the Help Center to learn about available resources for your situation.

Under new state law, there are protections in place for small landlords and homeowners who are unable to pay their mortgage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To learn more, visit

Are you a tenant and need some assistance? HCID will take tenant complaints and inform both landlords and tenants of the requirements of the eviction protections. Eviction complaints can be filed at hcidla.lacity.org/File-a-Complaint or by phone at (866) 557-7368.
